  About GNUpdate Hackfest

GNUpdate Hackfest is a day when anybody who wishes to contribute to GNUpdate in some way will sit down and hack on code, documentation, etc. for a full day. It starts at 0:00 UTC and end at 23:59 UTC.

If you wish to take part in GNUpdate Hackfest, please see below for the schedule and a list of things that need to be done.

  Goals

  • Debian database module for libpackman
  • Package script support (triggers, pre-install, post-install, pre-uninstall, post-uninstall)
  • Full alternate dependency support.
  • Full support for package installation.
  • User interface design for graphical (GTK2, KDE) front-ends, ncurses, and Qtopia (for PDAs)
  • API Documentation
  • Manuals
