genst - Generate Source Code Tree tool

The genst tool is a tool for generating source code trees that make use of the autoconf, automake, and libtool tools.

Genst can generate trees for applications, libraries, or both. It handles the generation of basic RPM spec files (which of course must be editted manually later) and soon debian/ directories.

  Status

Genst is an alpha application. However, it has been used to generate the trees for every component in the GNUpdate project. An earlier version of genst was even used to develop genst's own source code tree.

To keep an eye out on the status of genst, visit the ChangeLog, or subscribe to the CVS listserv on our ListServs page.
